After big sis said that the smocked dress was fairly easy to do, I attempted one last night after I found seersucker fabric stashed away to be used one day for something special…
this is something special! It felt so wonderful to have made something for my lil one to actually wear. Now I see why people like dana made it and katiedid make cute outfits for their kids. It’s quite addicting and totally satisfying to see your work proudly worn by your kids.

Smocked Dresses
The seersucker looks so fresh and comfortable for the hot summer weather. This dress looks like it was less time consuming to make than most of the smocking patterns I have seen. (Did you use a pattern?) Sometimes you just want simple, right?
